Explanation:

Return to top

Utemi is performed by using the palm of your hand to strike your foe.  Utemi will cause 1-D6 points of damage (+ 1-D6 damage per 10 levels advanced).

This is not the main reason this technique is performed. When you perform Utemi, you will purposely attempt to bait your foe into blocking, or dodging the strike. It is used to manipulate your foe into motion. With your foe's motion, techniques will be come easier to perform.

Advantages for a foe in motion after performing Utemi:

1. All techniques will have a +1 to all % dice-rolls to succeed (+1% per 3 levels advanced).

2. Initiative rolls which are required to perform a technique (in the same turn) will have a bonus of +1 (+1 per 3 levels advanced).
